When does RX Radio broadcast?

RX Radio went on air on the 20th of May and since then we have been broadcasting shows – both live and prerecorded – and also playing music in between.

Our programme schedule is currently being developed and will be complete and available on our website by the end of July.

We will have a wide variety of shows and we cannot wait for you to hear what RX Radio has to offer.

On weekdays RX Radio is currently broadcasting shows from 13:30 – 16:30, depending on the length of the show, and on Saturdays we broadcast shows from 09:00 – 12:00.

If there is a special broadcast that does not comply to the times mentioned above, we will alert our listeners on our social media pages.

Lastly, a BIG THANKS to everyone for supporting RX Radio.

On the 20th of May 2017 RX Radio officially went on air for the first time with a three hour long broadcast. We also had special guests media practitioner Dr. Michael Mol & Zola Nene who is a food stylist and TV chef. They were interviewed by RX Radio Child/Young Reporters and shared some inspiring words of wisdom. Here are a few pictures but please do check out the rest of the pictures in our Gallery.

Getting Ready!

Getting Ready!

RX Radio has been in the making for nearly a decade. We’re very excited that broadcasting will start soon. Our studios were completed in December 2016. Since then we have been training  and learning from children in the hospital. Our team is growing in confidence and the first test broadcast is scheduled for 12 April!
