On Saturday the 13th of April 2019, the Books and Breakfast team attended the Liberty Radio Awards at Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg. The team was nominated for the Best Internet Radio Show and they were the youngest attendees at the Awards.
The Books and Breakfast show is hosted by two sisters Yusrah and Naseerah on RX radio from Monday to Friday at 16:00 -17:00 and Saturday and Sunday from 15:00-16:00. Yusrah talks about literature and interviews authors and her co-host, Naseerah, has a feature called Think, Think, Think with Naseerah where she does her jokes and riddles, and contributes to the Life Experience Feature.
Though the sisters could not bring the award back home it was a great opportunity for them and RX Radio. As Naseerah and Yusrah mother said, ‘’I believe that this is a step in the right direction and hopefully this will be the start of many more to come for RX radio station’’.
Congratulations once again, to RX Radio Senior Content Producer Noluyolo Ngomani, who is the producer of Books and Breakfast, for being this year’s Bright Star Awards inductee. This recognition is not only for them, but for the whole RX Radio team!
