We as the RX Radio family write this with a heavy heart as we are extremely saddened by the passing of RX Radio Child Reporter Limile Tsodo (age 9) on the 21st of January 2021. Our deepest condolences, thoughts and prayers are with the Tsodo family during this difficult time. He was always full of energy and his smile and happiness was so contagious that you couldn’t help but join in too. His uplifting spirit, kindness, resilience, willingness and bravery definitely made an impact on the Red Cross Children’s Hospital community and in the hearts of all his peers.

Limile had an impactful journey at RX Radio and always made the people around him laugh. His RX Radio journey started in December 2017 with his training and radio diary, which sheds light on his health journey, experiences and opinions. One of the many things that we admired about him is that he never allowed anything to change the way he viewed himself. His courage, perseverance and diligence shone through everything he did.

He also went on to make an impact with the President’s visit that took place in 2019 and his contagious bubbly aura was definitely not left behind. To this day it remains a momentous event that will surely go down in the history books.

Limile will always remain a part of the RX Radio Family. The RX Radio team have watched Limile grow, not only into an outstanding reporter but also a very inspirational individual who has now cemented his footprint and legacy with the RX Radio family and the rest of the hospital community. We as the RX Radio family will continue to remember him as a cheerful and loving person.

Last year has given us many turbulent, obstacles and challenges that we’ve had to overcome, but one of the many lessons we can take away from this is that we need to cherish every moment we have and make the most of it. Limile’s star will continue shine bright and will never falter. We as the RX Radio family will continue to remember him as the cheerful and loving person. Stay safe, healthy and positive.
